From the R4 million that they have raised since January, Wits University SRC says they will begin allocating funds to the neediest of students for registration fees.

Qualifying students from rural and township areas will be prioritised, as they have been the hardest hit. They have also vowed to continue their protest this week.

A number of organisations, including SASSFE, made contributions towards the SRC’s fundraising efforts.
